Day 7 - November 8, 2005 - Tuesday: Tucuman (B, L) Departure to Tafi del Valle, through Santiago del Estero located 65 km away from the city and 1200 m above sea level, founded at the beginning of this century. The road takes then through a tropical vegetation along Quebrada de los Sosa until reach the Menhires National Park, where pre-Colombian menhires are preserved. Then the tour continues to Tafi del Valle, located in the heart of the Aconquija mountain at a height of about 2000 meters. It is called as the holy valley of the Diaguitas Indians.

Day 8 - November 9, 2005 - Wednesday: Salta  (B, L) Transfer from Tucuman to Salta. Tour along Quebrada de Humahuaca, visiting Purmamarca - typical village from where will be able to admire a fabulous and colorful landscape: Cerro de los Siete Colores (Seven Colours Hill) Departure to Tilcara. Surrounded by green trees and the mud brick-houses. Pucará de Tilcara - in aborigine language means fortress. It really used to be an omaguaca village (aborigines who inhabited this place during the 10th Century). Stop at Humahuaca city. On the way back to Salta, short visit of San Salvador de Jujuy city.  Upon arrival in Salta, check in at the 4 star Presidente Hotel. 

                 

Day 9 - November 10, 2005 - Thursday: Salta (B, L) Full-day Humahuaca Gorge, with stops in Pampa Blanca, San Salvador de Jujuy, Humahuanca as well as other towns.  Overnight at the Presidente Hotel. Colonial and modern, always safe and welcoming, the city of Salta attracts thousands of visitors all year round. Its warmth and tranquility, the appealing Hispanic outline of its streets on the green of the surrounding hills and the goodness of its temperate climate invite to do the many different activities: a historical tour of the manor houses, churches and museums; the tasting of typical dishes; the enjoyment of its surroundings where nature dazzles the visitor; or nightlife entertainment at the renowned "peñas" or modern discos.

                 

Day 10 - November 11, 2005 - Friday: Salta to Iguazu Falls: (B, L) Transfer to the airport for our flight to the Iguazu Falls. Upon arrival in Iguazu, the group will be transferred to the Sheraton International Hotel. Visit one of the wonders of the world, located in the Northeast of Argentina: the Iguazu Falls National Park. Consisting on 275 natural falls of breathtaking beauty, distributed along nearly 3 kilometers and surrounded by a dense forest of ferns, lianas, orchids, butterflies and 400 varieties of birds, in this natural area the "yaguarete", anteater, ocelot and peccary all live together. The magnificent sequence of falls finds its peak at the "Garganta del Diablo" (Devil's Throat), where Iguazu River crashes down almost 80 meters downwards, forming a multitude of rainbows. The Iguazu Falls have been declared World Heritage by the UNESCO.

                    

Day 11 - November 12, 2005 - Saturday: Iguazu Falls:  (B, L, D)  Tour of  Falls and a tour of Itaipu Dam. As an option it is possible to visit the Brazilian side of the falls crossing a bridge over the Iguazu River. From there bordering the river, the bus would arrive at the falls where the passengers will have a panoramic view. To visit the the Brazilian side of the falls requires a Brazilian visa. The Argentine side of the falls is more than sufficiently beautiful, but if you want to travel to the Brazil side, one might get a visa from the Brazilian Embassy or a visa service in the U.S. before leaving. Overnight at the Sheraton International Hotel.

                  

Day 12 - November 13, 2005 - Sunday: Iguazu Falls to Buenos Aires:.(B, L) Day at leisure to enjoy the falls on our own. Afternoon transfer to the Iguazu airport for our flight connecting in Buenos Aires.  Upon arrival in Buenos Aires transfer from Aeroparque Domestic Airport to Ezeiza International Airport for our flight on United Airlines UA846 to Washington, D. C. Dulles Airport (IAD) leaving Buenos Aires EZE at 10:05pm.

Day 13 - November 14, 2005 - Monday: Chicago:.(B,) Arrive in Washington, D. C., Dulles Airport (IAD) on United Airlines flight UA846 at 6:45am for connection to flights within United States and Canada.
