Our
52Best Trip
Philosophy
Half "Big City"
and Half Country: With each of
our 52Best trips
we focus on having half our time in the "Big Cities" and half the time in
the country seeing not only the "city folks" but the down home people that
live in the country and what "everyday" life is about in Australia. We will
be accomplishing this by not only having time in Sydney and Cairns but also
going into the wine country, a train ride through the outback seeing the
koalas, kangaroos, and the indigenous monkeys and birds, as well as a
complete day in the Great Barrier Reef.
Part Guided
Tours, Part Free Time: We will
not only have the guided tours for half the time that will give us a first
hand introduction to Sydney, the wine country, Cairns, the rain forest and
the Great Barrier Reef, but we will have a full free day in each area to
then explorer on our own to revisit places that strike our interest, to
purchase unique items and gifts to take home, or to leisurely visit the
parks, beaches and the back ways of Australia.
Part Past
Friends, Part New Friends: Since this is our ninth
52Best trip, we have many friends that
will be traveling with us again that enjoy sharing time with past fellow
travelers. We will also have about half the group that are traveling with us
for the first time. What a great way to meet friends and be with like-minded
people.
Trip Extension:
We like to keep our trips to 10 to 12 days as well as the money in the
mid three thousand dollar range. Our days 1 through 11 accomplish this plan.
However, others that have traveled this far would like to stay a bit longer
and see Ayers Rock and the interior of Australia. We thus have made
available the Trip Extension so that they can continue for another three
days and enjoy the spiritual and cultural center of the aborigines people.
