52Best Annual Trips: Each year the Readers of 52Best take a trip in November. There are 25 to 30 of us with half single and half married and likewise an equal amount of people that have traveled with us before and half coming for the first time. The median age is 52 with some as young as 10 and others as experienced as 82 that have traveled with us. We began taking trips in 2000 and below are our past, present and future trips. |

| Trip Philosophy No. 1 - Cities Big and Small: We will be half the time in big cities and half the time visiting and traveling the back roads seeing the interior of the country, the smaller cities, and meeting with the local people. | |||||||||||
| Trip Philosophy No. 2 - Tours vs. Free Time: We will average eight to ten paid tours during a trip that will provide about half our time being guided showing sites and places we might not find on our own; and half the time free time on our own to explore and find places and people tours do not find. | |||||||||||

Trip Philosophy No. 3 - Buildings vs. People: We will see the temples, cathedrals, museums and all the "buildings" that a country is primarily noted for; but we will also visit an elementary school and/or orphanage to talk with the kids of the country. Many of our Readers have contacts in each country and we will set up times to share drinks with local people and visit places that they know well. Perhaps we will tour a manufacturing plant, the U.S. Embassy, or other place that will bring us better in touch with the people and the country as well as the 52Best Readers in the country. |
